Margaret Stones, botanical artist, served for twenty-five years as the principal illustrator for and worked under commission for the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew, England. Margaret Stones was born in Australia but has lived in London since 1951. She studied and trained as an artist at the Swinburne and National Gallery Art Schools in Melbourne.
